Barre Closed!

Barre Closed!

Having massively overeaten myself into a stupor, I had to force myself out of bed this afternoon and put one foot in front of the other until I reached The Spa at the Power Plant Mall in Rockwell for the 4 PM barre3 class.

“Ay, ma’am, we don’t have an afternoon class today.”

WHAT???! I didn’t get the memo!

Seriously.

The last time I was there, which was last Friday, for the 11:30 AM class, I asked when they would be closed and the receptionist told me that they would only be closed on the 31st.

“Really? You’ll be open on the 1st?”

“Yes, ma’am.”

“Are you sure?”

“Yes, ma’am, we’ll only be closed on the 31st.”

Since I had just come from a barre3 class, it should have been obvious to her that I was inquiring about a change in schedule for the holidays. She made no mention of canceled afternoon classes on the 30th.

And if you check their website, there is no mention of a holiday schedule. I didn’t see any clearly posted announcement in class (- apparently, there is one on some bulletin board but I have no idea where this board is located; you’d think they would have posted a notice on the door or in front of the water dispenser or even on the sign up sheet!) and the instructors certainly didn’t mention anything.

Now, not only did they cancel the afternoon class today, but it turns out they’ll be closed on the 1st as well. Had I known this, I wouldn’t have slacked off yesterday. Now, I’ll be missing four days of classes instead of two. ARGH!

Grrr…

As fitness professionals, I really don’t think that the people behind barre3 should be slacking off, especially during the holiday season. At the very least, they should have a clearly defined holiday schedule posted on their website.
