First day back in the box.
I was dreading it. I had just gotten off a long-haul flight, hadn’t slept much and was still feeling slightly fluish. While I did pack my Reebok resistance tubes, they never made it out of my suitcase while I was in France. I did walk around a lot but I also ate everything in sight.
But I blocked all of that out of mind and was at CrossFit by 7 AM. Of course, I ignored the 200 jump ropes Matt wrote on the board and did a 250 m. row instead for my warm-up.
WOD was Tabata-style. Eight rounds of 20-second sets with 10-second rests in between. Matt was kind enough to give us 40-seconds rest in between exercises.
Here’s a photo of my whiteboard, with my total scores for all eight sets.

If 20 seconds don’t sound like much to you, trust me, they’re more than enough. After a while, I was conking out at 14 seconds.
Rx for women was the 45-lb. bar (- for men, it was 65 lbs.) but, since this is my first day back, I used the 35-lb. bar. Except for the snatch balance. Matt first gave me the 25-lb. bar but when he saw me wobble on my feet, he had me use the 15-lb. bar. I wasn’t going to argue, especially since I want to do a WOD tomorrow and hope to have some mobility left in my shoulders and legs.
