Miggy and Pao were in the house! Good to see familiar faces! Miggy wore the coach’s hat today. I do like training with different coaches. I like the different warm-up styles. Miggy likes to incorporate yoga poses into, say, walking lunges. Challenges the balance. Of which I have none.

WOD was:

4 minutes AMRAPs

  • 15 thrusters (I just used the 15-lb. bar.)
  • 15 chest to bar pull-ups (For sissies like me, jumping pull-ups a.k.a. jump as high as you fucking can.)

Except that this WOD came with a clause. If you managed to complete three rounds in 4 minutes, you got an additional 4 minutes. And if you completed three more rounds in those 4 minutes, then you got another 4 minutes, and so on and so forth. Miggy offered a lifetime CrossFit MNL membership to anyone who earned a total of 16 minutes.

Right-ho. That was my cue to take it slow. I think I did 2.5 rounds. Then, of course, Miggy gave us 4 additional minutes anyway – because he’s that kind of guy. I slugged it out till I completed four rounds then gave up.
