… didn’t happen because I was late.

I didn’t realize it was still raining till I got out of the house and it had rained pretty much the whole afternoon, which meant flooding, which meant gnarled traffic.

True enough, what should have taken five minutes took 15 and, by the time I got there, I thought I saw Jaloy running with a medicine ball on his shoulders. (Eek! SORRY AGAIN, JALOY!) I asked the cab driver to take me back home.

I swear it’s true! As I write this, I am still in my workout clothes. I even squeezed into my workout shoes even though I’ve got a blister the size of Japan on it. Yeah, last Friday, I was running late for my movie date with Joel so I hoofed it from my appointment to the cinema in shoes that weren’t made for hoofing. The result: a nasty-looking, weeping bitch of a blister.

Which won’t heal because it’s just right at that spot where flip-flops and shoes rub against. I already had the blister that time that I tried out the new box at Fort Bonifacio. Running in the rain with shoes rubbing against a raw blister. I can tell you that that definitely wasn’t fun. Since then, I’ve been working out barefoot.

But I still have to put on some sort of footwear when I go out. Which would explain why the damned thing hasn’t healed.

Which shouldn’t detract from the fact that I still didn’t make it to CrossFit. (I can hear the tsk-tsking.) I stuck to the diet and I slept though! I slept A LOT. Yay, 11 points!

Thank god this Paleo Challenge is over by November 12! I didn’t realize it was that soon. I wonder if I had known that it was almost over, would I have made more of an effort to stick to it? Hmmm… Well, it’s too late now. Oh well…

I’m sorry, again, guys!
