I texted Miggy today to find out if the WOD today contained any leg work.
After two days of squats, my legs are DEAD. Yesterday afternoon, I had to run errands around Makati and my legs were so stiff that I needed to hold on to lampposts just to get on and off curbs. Bit embarrassing when you’re all dressed up and in high wedges. But walk I did. I got on and off curbs, climbed up and down stairs, got in and out of cars (yes, the act of sitting involves a lot of pain) and, today, my legs have gone on strike and refuse to move.
“A little. Deadlifts and squats,” was Miggy’s reply.
Noooooooooo! NOT AGAIN!
My glutes and hamstrings would love the deadlifts (so would my lower back) but, combined with the squats, my quadriceps would scream bloody murder.
Quick pain scan. Traps, rhomboids, lats, and quads. Definitely the quads.
I think I’ll have a massage.
