I love – and hate – how easy it’s become to shop without leaving your home. A few phone calls, Facebook messages, online bank transfers and – voila! – my Christmas shopping done! I did it all from Siargao too.

When I arrived at my parents’ house yesterday, they were already enjoying the boxes of ensaimadas that I had ordered for them on Thursday. They arrived by courier on Friday, and I finally got to try them yesterday. Er, and today… Doh!

I just checked into the hotel Nicolas and I are staying at in Manila (- he is in a taxi, as we speak, en route to the hotel, having just planed in from a dive trip in Bohol) and the receptionist handed me two bags containing jars of Oreo-peanut butter, my Christmas giveaways this year. I opened one to sample and am now typing this post to restrain myself from going through the whole jar. Damn, it’s good and should be kept as far away from me as possible.

I’ve been naughty… and it was kinda nice. 😉

Okay, I am now about to pass out from too much sugar…
