The following are grass-fed meat suppliers in Manila:
- Down To Earth
- The Green Grocer
- Juan Market – They only deliver within Alabang.
I’ve finally checked out S&R and they carry New Zealand grass-fed beef. Look for the green label at the freezer section.
I also remember seeing a sign for grass-fed beef across the burger place at A. Venue. When I get their details, I’ll re-edit and post it here.
I suggest having some trail mix with you wherever you go so that you’ll have something healthy to snack on whenever you get hungry. It’s best to make your own. There’s this excellent brand called Tong Garden that I discovered in supermarkets, but only two of their products are Paleo-friendly. Look for these:

Tong Garden’s “All Natural Cocktail Snack”. Ingredients: Figs, black raisins, cashew nuts, almonds, pistachio kernels and green raisins. Unfortunately, it is getting harder and harder to find this. I hope they’re not phasing it out.

Tong Garden’s “Tropical Nuts & Fruit Mix”. Ingredients: Cashew nuts, dried papaya, dried pineapple, raisins, dried mango, dried coconut, almonds and dried banana. I found this at Rustan’s, Power Plant Mall. (P63.25, 80 grams.)
I also found this at Rustan’s:

Nature’s Sensation “Crispy Gogi Berries”. Ingredients: Gogi berries. (P186, 84 grams.) They eventually lose their crispiness when mixed in with the other stuff but they’re still good.
I mix these all up with assorted nuts.
My cousin, who makes cakes and pastries, took me to a nut supplier in Quiapo recently. According to the receipt, it’s called “The Nut Store” and is at 43 Orozco St, off Echague. I bought a quarter of a kilo of the following: whole almonds (P110), hazel nuts (P190), macademias (P300), pecans (P300), walnuts (P150), pistachio kernels (P255), and local cashews (P80). I also bought a quarter kilo of dried cranberries (P150) and blueberries (P300) from them.
Yes, that’s a lot of nuts and fruits. I’ve made two bags of trail mix and have sealed the excess nuts and fruits in Ziplock bags and have stored them in the freezer.
I’ve mentioned this before but I’ll do so again now. If ever you get the craving for ice cream, Fog City Creamery makes an excellent Paleo treat with coconut milk and 70% dark chocolate bits.
