I swear I had every intention to work out while in Cebu. I brought a bikini, goggles and a swim cap, so I could go swimming. I brought my boxing gloves and hand wraps, so I could go boxing. So far, I’ve gone…

… to the grocery.
Doh!
Wait! There’s more to that sentence.
I went to the grocery… to buy stuff for my Paleo diet. Nicolas doesn’t know it but, while I am here, he is, by default, on the Paleo diet too. (Actually, he’s quite thankful to be eating healthy.)
So the only thing of use that I’ve brought along with me seems to be Sarah Fragoso’s “Everyday Paleo”. For the first time since I bought the book, I am – finally – trying out one of her recipes.
“Spice Rub Slow-Cooked Chicken”. Of course, I had to buy a slow cooker. (And I now have the desire to slow cook EVERYTHING in the world.) The chicken is stewing in its own juices as I write. No, I don’t have a whole chicken in there. It’s all legs and thighs. I wanted to use just thighs but I threw in the legs – for the sake of variety or something.
And I did sorta kinda exercise. Nicolas has one of those multi-exercise benches so I did some ab work on it yesterday. I didn’t do much but it hurts where it’s supposed to today so I must have done something right. Either that or I am incredibly out of shape.

No opinions today, please.

I refuse to get on a scale.
Sleep is no better. But I’ve downloaded a whole bunch of movies that should keep me company should I stay awake for the rest of my life.

An exaggeration, of course, but, yes, this is what has been preoccupying me. Nicolas’ internet connection here in Cebu is so much faster than mine in Manila so I’ve been clogging up his bandwidth with all my downloads. I’m hoping that his employees at his office next door don’t notice and that they’re managing to get some work done.
Anyway, I’ll be out of their hair by tomorrow. We’re off to Siargao for a wedding this weekend.
