Apparently, all we needed was a hostel nazi to get us out and about before 8 AM. It was nice to finally start the day with other pilgrims.

Still, even the slowest of them all passed us along the way.

I’m pretty sure we were the last to arrive at Logroño.

The reduced-weight backpack seems to be perfect for me and I don’t mind carrying it everyday. I can even put on and take off my fleece now without removing the pack.
Now, if only I could cut off my legs at the ankles, I should be fine. As far as I can tell, I no longer have any feet. Below my ankles is only pain.
The rest of me is still in pain, mind you, but they don’t register as much compared to my feet. I can barely walk to the bathroom.
(This trip is brought to you by Alaxan FR and Arcoxia during the day, and more Alaxan and half a Xanax at night.)
Every day, Raffy and I talk about eating a nice hot meal at a restaurant for dinner. But as soon as we get to the albergue and out of our shoes, all I want do is lie down and not move.
We finally finished the jamon I’ve been carrying around in my bag since Estella. I still have some stale bread and cheese, and some soggy cranberries that should make a good snack at some point tomorrow.

Accommodation:
Hostel Entresueño
We booked a private room with two bunk beds and one double bed. (14 euros per head, no breakfast. Cooking allowed.)
It used to be a bank and they’ve kept that office-y feel. Our room has a balcony where we are now airing our shoes.

The second floor.

We have pillow cases, sheets, and blankets. There’s a hairdryer in the bathroom, although it doesn’t work very well.

The only thing that I don’t like is that I can’t sit up on the lower bunk because the upper bed is too low. But, apart from that, we really like this hostel.
