In the early hours of the morning, I woke up and declared to no one in particular that I wanted to have a rest day. Later on, when someone’s alarm went off, Alan expressed the same and Stephen seconded the motion. That settled that and we slept on.

Then I got up to go to the bathroom and I found Stephen with his backpack on. “Now that you’re rested, shall we go on?”

The latter part turned out to be a dream. Phew!

Today, we explored Logroño.

We bought bacon from the market and Alan made us a proper Pinoy breakfast with garlic fried rice and fried eggs.

Then the boys went to a wine cellar while I had tapas and pintxos at Calle del Laurel.

A radical departure from our usual diet of jamon y queso.

Later that night, I wasn’t feeling well so I stayed in to get some rest.
