Yesterday, we took a cab from Terradillos Los Templarios to Sahagun to catch the 8:30 AM train to Leon.
For lunch, we treated ourselves to a nice meal at Michelin-ecommended, Delirios.

Then Rosan and I went to an ostheopath/kinesiologist for treatments.

I may be smiling in that photo but, most of the time, I was in so much pain that I hit the poor man a few times. I had to pin my arms underneath me so that I could let him do his job.
I’m not sure that I am any better… I’m hoping these two days of rest will work their own miracle.
Afterwards, we watched the Semana Santa processions. These were taken at the Cathedral.

Then we met up with Alan by the Basilica de San Isidoro, where the procession was headed.

Apparently, everyone else had the same idea.
It was an astounding spectacle.
Afterwhich, we heeded the call of vino tinto y tapas.
We caught up with Aussie, Genevieve, whom we last saw in Carrion de los Condes. She was there for two nights and gave us news of Raffy and Stephen, whom she hung out with the night after us.

We hit the bars at Barrio Humedo and Plaza Mayor, but we just couldn’t get away from the processions.
We had a great time!

Accommodations:
Albergue Santo Tomas de Canturbury
If you’ve had a long day of walking and only want to rest and have no desire to explore Leon, then this is the place to stay. Otherwise, it’s just too far out of town. We got a triple room with its own bathroom and, even if it was peak season, at 97 euros for the room, I thought it was too expensive for what it was. We did have sheets, towels, toiletries and a hair dryer though. Breakfast was extra at 3.50 euros.
