Warm-up:
- 20 slow push-ups
- 20 sit-ups
- 20 squats
- 20 lunges per leg (yes, in other words: 40)
WOD was by RJ who was at the session and demonstrated what he called “The Chainsaw Massacre”, which was 25 mins. AMRAPs of:
- 4 on each side chainsaw rows, which is similar to a ring row but you use only one ring, pivot to one side and push up on the ring
- 6 clap push-ups
- 8 on each side jumping lunges
- 10 arch rocks
It wasn’t too bad except for those damned jumping lunges. I would be fine up until the 7th pair. On counts 15 and 16, the last pair, I could barely get up from the lunge, let alone jump.
Almost completed 10 rounds (- I managed to finish the lunges) but I pretty much took my time on this one. Everyone else performed around the same level.
