WOD was 20 minutes AMRAPs:
- 30 box jumps – 18” box.
- 20 push presses – Rx was 85 lbs. for women but I, typically, did the first round with a 45-lb barbell, then my shoulders gave up after reps on the second round and I had to pyramid down to the 35-lb. bar.
- 30 pull-ups – Used the green band again.
Since there were a lot of us in the class, three of us girls started off doing push presses first, followed by pull-ups then the box jumps. I completed three rounds and made it up to the pull-ups of the fourth round but only completed 20 before time ran out. I suppose I could have finished all 30 but I was cheating massively already, trying to bounce myself off the band. Plus I was so exhausted that I could barely grip the bar. So I stopped with a more than a few seconds on the clock to spare.

WOD was:
50, 40, 30, 20, 10
Overhead lunges, followed by Russian twists.
If I remember correctly, Rx was the 45 -lb. plate for women. I went with the 25-lb. plate and finished in 12:20 minutes with my lunge form severely compromised towards the end.
Please remember that I was attempting death by food, alcohol and cigarettes until 4:20 in the morning and, at that time, had had – what – maybe two hours of sleep? The whole of Saturday, up to right before doing the WOD, I teetered on the edge of throwing up. Still, Mr. Pukey stayed away. I’m surprised I made it through the WOD without going into cardiac arrest.
