Gai’s 30-Day Paleo Challenge

Inclusive dates: 27 April to 26 May

The weigh-in: 56.8 kilos (- Ack!)

The target: As much as I can lose, but I’ll be happy at 52 kilos.

Allowed: Meat, seafood, fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, olive oil or coconut oil.

Paleo greys that I allow: Butter, Dijon mustard, vinegar, fish sauce. Since I don’t really drink tea or coffee, I’ll allow it whenever the odd occasion arises.

Not allowed: Grains (including corn), legumes (including beans, peas and peanuts), starchy tubers, dairy, sugar, polyunsaturated vegetable oils (grape seed, cottonseed, safflower, corn and sunflower oils), anything processed. No ketchup, no mayo, no soy sauce, nothing that contains Knorr or Maggi products.

Cheats: Twice a week, and choice of alcohol (limited to red wine, clear vodka OR tequila) OR dark chocolate only.
