The best cakes in Manila: Kitchen’s Best Home Patisserie

I used to buy the Banoffee Pie back when they were still selling cakes out of their house in Makati. Apart from the Banoffee (Banana Toffee) Pie, my other favorite is the White Chocolate Macadamia Brittle Cheesecake, which is probably one of the most expensive cakes in Manila but once you take a bite, you’ll understand why.

The best cheese roll: Mary Grace Cafe

The best doughnuts: For me, it’s still Krispy Kreme’s Original Glazed. I find that one isn’t enough and two still leave me wanting. Three, however, is sugar overload. So maybe I should have two and a half next time? (Right. As if I’ll let that other half sit by itself for very long.)

The best bread pudding: Cirkulo’s white chocolate bread pudding. Cafe Juanita’s is a close second.

The best chocolate mousse: Corner Tree Cafe’s Toblerone dark chocolate mousse.
