Well, that was a disaster.
I was going to go on a bike ride in the morning to make up for not swimming in the afternoon, but I took one step outside and went right back in. Too freakin’ hot.

I was going to not eat until the party but I knew that I would be crazyravenous the whole day so I just ate my fruits and a small Paleo meal. I was still crazyravenous when I got to the party and, by the time the food was brought out, I was so hungry that I didn’t even bother to wait for the go signal. I just dug right in. I still stayed away from rice though so, food-wise, I was still good. The only transgression I had involved a cupcake that the Birthday Boy saved for me. How could I turn it down?
No, it was a disaster for me in terms of drinking and smoking.
I started off being very good. I arrived early and, for the longest time, they only were serving beer, so I had water and a banana. How’s that for good?
And I told my hosts that, whatever happened, I shouldn’t be allowed to smoke.
And then the sangrias were served.
I think there were only three of us drinking these. When the sangrias ran out, they made white sangrias and we all know the evils of switching from red to white, but it was either that or beer so I went for the lesser evil.

I bummed cigarettes off everyone. When I got to my hosts, they asked if they should stop me. I told them it was too late, so we lit up together.
Before closing down the bar, we toasted with some G&Ts then headed off to Nine Bar, where a very nice gentleman bought me a bottle of wine. I shared it with friends (- they had three glasses) and, when that ran out, someone else bought me a glass of wine.
By this time, I could sense that the lights were about to go off and the Evil Twin was poised for a grand entrance. I called for the habal and made a quick exit.
On the bumpy bike ride home, I could feel my eyes rolling about in my head.

I still made myself some bacon and eggs when I got home, drank a lot of water, and managed to upload all the pictures from the party onto Facebook. It took me quite a long time though and I must have gotten to sleep around 4 PM.
I then had the most awesome awesome dream that I cannot tell you about, but I woke up alert and quite happy at 8:30 in the morning.
I think I might do it all over again tonight. 😉
It is the weekend.

(Like I have any weekdays.)

Last night’s party was also the soft opening party of Chillout Siargao, an old budget resort (- it was formerly Satur Honor) with new owners that is undergoing renovation. It now has a small bar by the beach where you could, well, chill out.
